“Dip Coater” glove box in controlled environment

The glove box is used to apply protective or functionalising layers on solid substrates through the Sol-gel/Slurry Dip- Coating technique in an environment with controlled temperature and humidity.

The equipment is fitted with a vertical slide with controlled speed, a temperature-controlled bath and a system that adjusts the temperature and humidity in order to apply coatings from a covering solution that contains the precursors of the coating to be applied.

If the “Dip-Coater” is used in a controlled environment, functional and protective coatings can be applied at reduced costs on a wide range of substrates in order to alter the surface properties of a material, add new functionalities or improve its features by increasing for instance the hardness and wear resistance of light alloys and polymers.

The application of thin films based on silicon, alumina, zirconia, titania or other inorganic oxides opens a wide range of applications for several advanced industrial sectors.
